Destination Website system

I developed a national Destination Website system and national roll-out plan for a large Australian tourism provider

Problem Statement / Opportunity: The project involved the creation of a national Destination Website System for Australia Holiday Apartments (AHA). The challenge was to replace the existing, limited system with a scalable, robust solution capable of handling a rapidly expanding portfolio of independently operated holiday accommodations. This expansion was crucial to support AHA’s ambition to become the leading national platform, with projections of 8,000 property listings in the follow year of operation. .

What I Did / Delivered: My role encompassed the entire system design and national rollout plan. I authored the functional requirements and designed the system architecture, focusing on scalability, user experience, and efficiency. The system featured automated booking and payment processes, a sophisticated property management system, intuitive customer and owner interfaces, and a comprehensive admin interface for AHA staff. I also meticulously planned and executed the national rollout, ensuring a seamless transition to the new system.

Outcomes: The successful implementation of the Destination Website System significantly bolstered AHA’s market presence and operational efficiency. The new system facilitated the management of a large number of property listings and bookings, driving AHA towards its goal of national leadership in the holiday accommodation sector. This transformative project marked a key milestone in AHA’s expansion, significantly enhancing customer experience and market share, and setting a solid foundation for future growth.
