Microsoft Project specialist training

I developed and delivered specialist training in Microsoft Project for a group of engineers within Power and Water Authority.

Problem Statement/Opportunity

The Power and Water Authority’s engineering team required specialized training in Microsoft Project to enhance their project management skills. The team needed to understand how to effectively use the software for planning, scheduling, and managing their engineering projects. This training was vital to improve project delivery efficiency, resource management, and overall team productivity.

What I Did/Delivered

I developed and delivered a tailored Microsoft Project training program for the engineering team. The training covered Microsoft Project fundamentals, including project setup, task scheduling, resource allocation, and tracking project progress. I ensured the program was interactive, combining theoretical knowledge with practical exercises relevant to the engineers’ daily work. The training also included sessions on advanced features of Microsoft Project, adapted to the specific needs of the engineering projects at the Power and Water Authority.

Outcomes

Post-training, the engineering team demonstrated improved proficiency in using Microsoft Project for their project management needs. They were able to more effectively plan, schedule, and monitor their engineering projects, leading to better resource utilization and project tracking. This enhanced capability contributed to more efficient project execution and adherence to timelines, ultimately benefiting the overall operational performance of the Power and Water Authority.
