Strategic and operational planning

I led a full-day strategic and operational planning workshop with a large Registered Training Organisation.

Problem Statement / Opportunity: A large Registered Training Organisation (RTO) required a strategic and operational planning workshop to address challenges in team cohesion, strategic alignment, and operational efficiency. The organisation was seeking to improve its internal dynamics and strategic clarity to enhance overall performance and align its activities with its core mission and objectives. This workshop was an opportunity to delve into these areas, identify underlying issues, and collaboratively develop solutions.

What I Did / Delivered: I designed and facilitated a full-day workshop focused on strategic and operational planning. The session began with team-building exercises to foster collaboration and open communication. This was followed by in-depth discussions and activities centered around refining the organisation’s vision and mission, ensuring alignment with its values and goals. I guided the team through a detailed examination of current operational processes, identifying inefficiencies and areas for improvement. The workshop was interactive and solution-focused, allowing participants to engage actively in developing actionable strategies.

Outcomes: The workshop significantly impacted the RTO’s approach to its strategic and operational challenges. The team-building exercises improved internal communication and collaboration, leading to a more cohesive team environment. The exercises focused on vision and mission alignment resulted in a renewed and clear strategic direction for the organisation. Additionally, the operational planning session produced concrete action plans for addressing identified inefficiencies, setting the stage for enhanced operational effectiveness. This comprehensive workshop played a pivotal role in aligning the RTO’s strategic and operational activities with its overarching goals.
